The Vistria Group announces another successful exit with the sale of Fund II portfolio company FullBloom, a special education and behavioral health solutions provider for children and families. Beginning the sales process earlier this summer, The Vistria Group closed a deal with American Securities LLC which will acquire 100% of FullBloom.
FullBloom was established in 1976 with the mission of generating better life outcomes for children regardless of the learning barriers or other challenges they may face. From behavioral health and intervention programs to specialized education and professional learning, FullBloom serves more than 100,000 children and 25,000 educators annually.
“We’ve been in the business of helping the most vulnerable children for over 45 years and much of that impact has been made possible through our robust partnerships with passionate groups of people, like those at Vistria,” said Jeff Cohen, CEO of FullBloom. “After experiencing such growth thus far, we look forward to the road ahead in our new venture with American Securities.”
FullBloom was among The Vistria Group’s first deals in Fund II, launched in October 2017. Over the hold period FullBloom completed five acquisitions and generated organic growth, both of which aided in the advancement of their EBITDA from $33 million at close to over $80 million at exit.
“Undoubtedly, FullBloom has demonstrated exemplary financial performance over the course of our partnership, making them well positioned for continued growth. Though, most notable is their unwavering commitment and leadership in tracking and improving student progression,” said Phil Alphonse, Senior Partner and Co-Head of Education at The Vistria Group. “It has truly been a privilege to work with Jeff and his team, driving their mission to better the lives of kids and families and in return, impacting our own.”
FullBloom is a leading provider of behavioral health solutions for K-12 students and their families. FullBloom works to achieve sustained academic gains for students not meeting their potential through partnerships with over 500 school districts, including 18 of the 20 largest school districts in the United States.
